Dear Coach or Team Coordinator,

In my opinion, bigger is not always better! More teams may not dictate better competition nor does it give your athletes a better chance to be recruited. Offering a tournament that hosts 16 teams gives your players a much better opportunity to be evaluated by college coaches because it will allow them to review the ability of all teams/players in a single day. Further, our game fields are in very close proximity to each other, thus creating recruiting convenience for college coaches. You have my word; your team/players will have a competitive lacrosse experience coupled with great recruiting exposure.

On Friday July 23rd to Sunday July 25th, Mount St. Mary's University will host the Outback Steakhouse Summer- 16 Varsity Tournament for rising 10th, 11th, and 12th graders Fall 2010. Rising 9th graders may attend at coach’s discretion. Games will be played on (3) regulation grass fields and (1) field-turf stadium. All games will be (2)–25 minute running halves, with (2) referees/game.

This will be great weekend of lacrosse that will give your athletes the ability to strengthen their skills and further their recruitment. All teams are guaranteed (5) games plus playoff(s), and all tied games determined by sudden death OT. Playoff seating determined by divisional record.

Registration is open to 1st-16 teams and NO deposit is necessary, just call or email confirmation. Tournament registration will close by April 1st, 2010 and all necessary paperwork and fees due by June 1st. Complete tournament information will be sent to all team coaches/organizers by June 15th.

COMPLETE TEAM REGISTRATION INCLUDE:

• Roster – Player name, jersey #, address, telephone #s, email address, grade, and position.
• Consent form - Player information with parent/guardian signatures.
• Fees – Check(s) corresponding to the number of players/consent forms.
  

TOURNAMENT FEES/PLAYER:

• DAY: $175/player. No meals.
• COMMUTER: $225/player; includes lunch and dinner.
• RESIDENT: $275/player; includes single or double occupancy room and all meals.

***RESIDENT TEAMS ONLY: FREE AC-ROOM AND BOARD FOR (2) COACHES***
